Immortal Death is the final book in the Imogen Gray series, and while I’m sad to say goodbye, I’m happy to report that it delivers exactly what fans of the series have come to love: fast-paced adventure, sharp humor, emotional payoffs, and a few surprise twists. If you’ve made it this far, you absolutely need to see how it all ends.

Trouble, Tremors, and a Missing Friend

Things kick off in typical Imogen fashion: chaotic and high-stakes. An ancient being trapped in a pocket dimension is threatening Emerald Valley with destructive tremors. He’s searching for someone—though, frustratingly, Imogen has no idea who. On top of that, Leroy is kidnapped, kicking off a cross-country search that brings her into conflict with a host of new adversaries. And let’s not forget—she’s still looking for her father.

This final book is packed with action, laughs, and the familiar banter we’ve grown to love. It’s bingeable, entertaining urban fantasy with heart, and once again, the side characters shine just as much as the heroine.

A Heroine Who Finally Lets Herself Love

One of the best parts of Immortal Death is seeing just how far Imogen has come. From a prickly immortal who didn’t care much for anyone to a woman surrounded by friends-turned-family, her journey feels well-earned. She’s still snarky. She’s still impulsive. But she’s grown in ways that matter—and that growth is what makes this finale so satisfying.

That said, there are a couple of plot points that didn’t quite land. The reveal of Imogen’s father was surprising, but a little underwhelming since apparently everyone already knew and just… couldn’t tell her? Because she wouldn't listen? For a whole year? And the Brandon storyline—him standing around in the town square for most of the book—was more odd than impactful. I understood the metaphor, but it dragged a bit.

Final Thoughts

Immortal Death brings Imogen’s story to a heartfelt close. It’s action-packed, emotional, and full of familiar faces who’ve become more than just sidekicks—they’re family. While not every twist hit perfectly, the story as a whole wrapped up in a way that was deeply satisfying.

Imogen may not have gotten exactly what she thought she wanted… but she got what she needed. And honestly? That’s the best kind of ending.

If you’ve come this far in the series, don’t stop now. This finale delivers exactly what it should: closure, chaos, and just the right amount of snark.
