Kane’s sudden distance is unsettling, and while part of me wanted to shake him, another part suspects there’s more to his disappearance than hurt feelings or fear. I’m reserving judgment… for now.

This installment is jam-packed with developments. The mystery is layered and engaging, and even as some answers are finally revealed, you’re left with even more questions. The world of Fairhaven continues to expand, and so do the stakes for Lorelei. It's fast-paced, emotionally charged, and utterly immersive.

One of the highlights of this series continues to be the way Annabel Chase builds a world where the mundane and the magical constantly collide. The supernatural cast—from ghosts and demons to new and mysterious beings—adds richness and excitement to every twist and turn.
