Am I too old to be excited about Midnight Sun coming out?

OMG, Midnight Sun is out!

Back in May when Stephanie Meyers announced the release of Midnight Sun, I wrote a post expressing my enthusiasm called Is Twilight Midnight Sun Really Coming Out?

If you’re a Twilight fan, you’ve been waiting for this book for over 12 years. Are you excited or what?

To be honest, I became a Twilight fan when I was much younger, although not quite a teenager. Part of me is really excited to read Midnight Sun and delve back into the world Ms. Meyers has created, and I count the moments until I get my hands on that book. At the same time, I’m aware that I’m much older now, I’ve read a lot of fantasy in these 12 years, and perhaps my tastes have changed.

So, I guess I worry that I won’t like it as much as I did the other books. That would be a major letdown. What if I end up rolling my eyes every other paragraph?! Maybe my eyes need exercise!

I’d love to know your thought on this matter. Do you consider yourself to be too old to enjoy another Twilight book? If you do, are you going to read it anyway?

I will read it even if I am perhaps too old for it. Deep down, I think I’m still 17 at heart (although at times I act like I’m 12). I’ve waited far too long for this book to be picky now!
