Peter S. Beagle

Peter Soyer Beagle (born April 20, 1939) is an acclaimed American author and fantasist whose work spans novels, nonfiction, and screenplays. A talented guitarist and folk singer as well as a writer, Beagle began his literary career remarkably early, writing his first novel, A Fine and Private Place, at just nineteen. He is perhaps best known for The Last Unicorn, a beloved classic that is frequently ranked among the greatest fantasy novels of all time. His other works, including A Fine and Private Place and I See By My Outfit, have likewise earned recognition as modern classics, cementing Beagle's place as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary fantasy.
